Hi. I am in conversation with a UK historian regarding some Knights Templar locations, where JWs have built buildings. *** THIS IS SERIOUS RESEARCH - NOT A JOKE ***
I am not - and do not wish to be - a conspiracy theorist, but something has come to light in the UK and I lack the knowledge of Knights Templar + Masons. I need to enlist the research help of anyone on this forum who has some experience/knowledge/time to spare. Feel free to PM me for the details...
The research is for a video I am preparing - a serious video (no jesting) - about the new UK branch in "Temple Farm" in Chelmsford. I have been in contact with a government official who turns out to be a member of a local historical society. What he pointed me to was an "I don't believe it" moment...followed by..."What?! Seriously?!" I now would like to ask for help to research this further, so that if it leads to anything with solid evidence I can include it in the video.
The main topic I need to verify is: numerology within Free Masons and Knights Templar - is there a genuine significance of the number 33?
If you have anything *** SERIOUS *** to add, please comment here too, but if not a serious comment I kindly ask you to direct your creative typing skills to one of the many other worthwhile posts on this forum instead ;-)

"Stealth tithing": they already admit in these videos that "most of the contributions are electronic", so maybe they'll do a psyop pilot on a sample of around 1000 where they send an email along the following lines...
"We thank you for your ongoing card donation...(blaah blahh platitudes)...and for YOUR convenience we have AUTOMATICALLY increased your electronic recurring monthly payment by $xxx for the next 12 months. Small print: you are free to adjust your recurring contribution at any time."
If the results of this "initiative" test reveal that most allow the automatic increase, without objection, then this may embolden them to roll it out to the 8m members.
Do you think this type of "initiative" is being considered?

My genuinely serious pondering is: When will a version of "tithing" be introduced for "appointed men"? Will it be reasoned that they and their families should be setting the lead? Will CO visit appointments of elders and servants take into consideration the brothers level and regularity of contributions, just as they consider his field service level and regularity? Could they cultivate an atmosphere of guilt/carrot+stick amongst elders/servants who feel obligated to up their online contributions in order to retain their tenure?

Hi Morpheus. Video is from a recent - very long and mainly boring - webinar at their WHQ. I am going through the video and collating the useful bits...but then I noticed this overt wood carving on the wall and simply HAD to check it out!

Hi NeatBlueDog. Maybe I'm making more of this than it is - yes, it's a QR code as a simple wall decoration. Personally, I had the following thoughts:
- Isn't it ironic that it's literally a "carved image"?
- It's prominently mounted at their HQ
- Narcissistic, self adulatory smugness
- Who, or What do they really "worship"?
